Symposium Information

On-site Registration (U.S. Dollars)
The on-site early registration fee is $550 for SPE members, $700 for non-members and included the Conference Proceedings, Recognition Luncheon, Casino Night, Beer and Bratwurst, Technical Sessions and Exhibition. Registration fees increase $150 after March 20. Some events are limited and available first to those registering in advance. On-site registration is available Sunday, April 19 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Monday and Tuesday, April 21 and 22 from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the hotel’s Convention Center Lobby.

Symposium Proceedings
Proceedings are included in the Advance Registration and On-site Registration Fees. Additional copies of the Proceedings (CD only) will be available for $100 for SPE members and $150 for Nonmembers. Proceedings may be ordered on a limited basis by contacting the Registration Chair at ior@SPEIOR.org.

Plenary Session
The opening Plenary Session, Monday morning, April 21, will feature a distinguished panel of experts. Speakers to be announced.

Technical Program
The Program Committee, chaired by Paul Willhite, The University of Kansas, selected for presentation 120 technical papers on topics ranging from innovative technology to field applications. In addition, a ``Best of Cairo'' session features six selected papers from the 2007 European Symposium on Improved Oil Recovery.

Technical Exhibition
The exhibition features companies displaying an outstanding array of products and services related to IOR. .

Field Trip
A “Tulsa Geology” field trip is planned for Saturday, April 19 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. A barbeque lunch in a city park pavilion will be provided. Seating is limited to 52, so sign up early!

Social Functions
The Monday Recognition Luncheon features five distinguished "IOR Pioneers" who will receive honors for their contributions to improved oil recovery. On Monday night, attendees will try their luck at Casino Night. Beer and Bratwurst will be enjoyed on Tuesday evening in the exhibit hall.

Continuing Education Credits
Continuing Education Credit/Professional Development hours for licensed professional engineers may be obtained with IOR short courses and technical papers. Certificates of Completion will be presented for these courses and sessions after the conference.

Press Room
A press room will be available Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Wednesday, April 23, the press room will be open from 8 a.m. to Noon.

Message Center
A Message Center will be available during symposium hours in the registration area.

Parking
Attendee parking will be available in the hotel parking lot free of charge.
